Eleven products for one global marine logistics and ship-supply group

11 products, one client

This is the deepest relationship in our portfolio and the clearest illustration of how our engagements grow.

It began with the platform their warehouse and customer ordering runs on, held in live two-way sync with their ERP. Once that was trusted, the work spread outward: a rules-and-AI engine that plans how every spare part reaches a vessel at sea, a mobile app that replaced email threads for ordering, handheld scanners for the warehouse floor, offline-resilient proof of pickup and delivery for staff working dockside, a deeper warehouse module treating the ERP as the live data source, and a governed API letting outside partners query their data without a database login.

Each product was scoped, built and shipped on its own merits. Several are still under active weekly development.

The planning engine

The centrepiece is a single explicit rule engine, the source of truth for every planning decision — ageing-based sea-to-air escalation, air weight ceilings, hub behaviour, FCL/LCL selection, earliest-ETA sailing choice, buffer days, and vessel exclusions. Customer variation is a first-class concept: a policy resolver loads the right policy per account, so onboarding a new fleet means implementing one interface rather than forking the planner.

Ten ocean carriers integrate behind one schedule interface. Azure OpenAI proposes suggestions where rules end and judgement begins — always as a recommendation a planner reviews, never as an unreviewable action.

What used to take 4 days to plan took 15 minutes with this tool.
